Takebayashi means "bamboo grove," accordingly the design of this small restaurant emulates the atmosphere of sitting in the cool shade of bamboos. In the middle of the restaurant there is a sushi counter where guests can see the sushi chef in action, as we slices the fish and molds the rice into small nigiri. There are two small tatami rooms which can be opened into a single big one, seating about 20 people in total.

The food at Takebayashi is good, the prices are moderate. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous -- you can see the boats goind down the Danube while you are eating your sushi. If the weather permits, you definitely should sit outside to enjoy the full view. Photos of Takebayashi
