The Elisabeth Bridge (constructed from 1897-- 1903) cannot compare with it, although this itself, is a technical masterpiece, spanning the Danube without support in one long arch of 290 meters (the largest span in Europe).
Two other great bridges -- the Margaret Bridge higher up (602 m), and the Francis Joseph Bridge (331 m) below, join the two banks; and two others, also worthy of attention connect the railways of the two sides of the Danube.
