Going on through Raday Street and Soroksari Street we come to the City Slaughter House a large building, which at the time of its erection won great repute in Europe. Two superb animal groups (by Richard Begas) decorate the principal entrance. Annexed to the Slaughter House are large establishments which serve for the provisioning of the town: the extensive Cattle Market, the swine Slaughter House, built in most modern style, the Horse Slaughter House, the Thermochemical Institute, and finally the City Bread Factory. The inspection of these establishments, is not only of great interest to the expert, but also to the laity, who can by this means, gain a survey of the broad-featured alimentation policy of the Capital.
