From Rozsnyo we reach in a short time, the mining town Dobsina, in whose environ lies the celebrated Ice Cave of the same name. It is a natural wonder, the like of which is hardly to be found in the whole world. It is situated in a lime-stone mountain and consists of two storeys with two halls and two corridors. The large ice-hall is 120 meters long, 40 to 60 broad and 10 high; its floor of ice is as smooth as a mirror and is used in summer as a skating-rink. In the corridors we see ice formations of the strangest kind. The ice has a thickness of 20 meters and increases from year to year and therefore artificial means have to be employed to prevent the cave from completely closing up.

Kassa may be used as the starting-point for excursions into the North East Carpathians. These mountains form a long chain, which stretches from Eperjes into the Maramaros.
