Through the newer regulations this quarter is gradually disappearing and is being replaced by a pretty villa suburb. Modern buildings of this kind already cover the Southern slopes of the mountain, and on the plain below, a new magnificent suburb has sprung up, extending from Francis Joseph Bridge -- where the splendid building of the Technical High School stands -- to Kelenföld. The outskirts of this district are celebrated for the great quantities of bitter waters which spring up there: these waters are known over the whole world and are transported in enormous quantities to all parts of the earth. The Hunyadi Janos Spring alone circulates from ten to twelve million bottles yearly. The Elizabeth Salt-Baths which are especially frequented by women, are also situated on the plain at the foot of Mount Gellert.
