Turning back to the end of the Suspension Bridge in Buda and passing through the Tunnel in the Fortress Hill we arrive at the Christina suburb. It is a flourishing quarter of the town with many fine villas and gardens. Along the Danube, the suburbs of Vizivaros and 5-Buda extend far towards the North. Opposite O-Buda, on a small island, lies the Shipyard of the Danube Steamship Company, and further down, the already-mentioned Margaret Island.
Still further up are the remains of the Roman town Aquincum, which can be reached by means of the Vicinal tramway from Palffy Square. There are the foundations of several houses, some baths, a temple dedicated to Mithra and a large amphitheatre.
The small objects found in the excavations are preserved in a museum, a visit to which completes the picture of this ancient city.
