This is a symbolist drawing with a strong verbal message. The single row of green Chinese characters on the top is a command usually given to a firing squad: "Aim at SARS. Fire!" Obviously, this is a strong message in itself. Below the text a gun is firing at the English letters "SARS" which are already crossed out and exploding. One could think of this as a visualization technique or some sort of sympathetic magic (e.g. voodoo) which is designed to destroy the enemy and facilitate victory. Interesting in this picture is the lack of a positive environment. There are no flowers, no children, no sunshine and no clouds. The entire picture consists of violent imagery. Even the theme itself is extremely violent: giving a firing command to a firing squad to execute SARS. With two exclamation marks at the end!
