A calligraphic design on a purple background. There are 3 rows of Chinese characters from left to right, forming a short poem. The text reads, "White-clothed angel, You are the reason why springtime is beautiful." Of course, the Chinese text rhymes.
The text is written with a pen, not a brush. The characters are boldly executed, showing confidence and maturity. Although there is no explanation about the artist, we could speculate that he or she was already a bit older than the authors of the previous pictures. One could also hypothetize about the shift from image-based compositions to textual messages as the artists get older. Older children perhaps tend to create artwork that is more in the style of banners or textual advertisement. This could be due to the growing confidence in writing but also to the immersion into our extremely textual/verbal society. Naturally, Chinese character, with their long history of calligraphic art, also carry a strong non-verbal element and thus are often used as part of the design.
