The pictures of Atlantis below come from four different traditions. The first picture is Athanasius Kircher's map of Atlantis from 1669. It is based on an ancient Egyptian map taken from Egypt by the Romans.

The second picture is a world map from 1882. It shows the supposed location of Atlantis in white.

The third picture is the cover of the book Atlantis - Mother of All Empires by Robert B. Stacy Judd. It was published in 1939.

The fourth picture is the movie poster of Walt Disney's Atlantis. This is the first Disney movie where people actually die. Its maturity is established by the grandeur of the special effects as well.
