Pictures of the baptism of Christ - Drawings and paintings of the baptism of Christ

The pictures of the baptism of Jesus below come from four different traditions. The first picture is the Baptism of Christ in the Jordan by Jacob de Wit. It is a drawing from 1716.

The second picture is entitled The Baptism of Christ. It was painted by Jan van Scorel in 1530.

The third picture is a fresco entitled The Baptism of the Neophytes, by Masaccio from 1428. It has the same touch as the frescos of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. It shows Christ getting baptized in the River Jordan.
