Pictures of crusaders - Drawings and paintings of crusaders

The pictures of crusaders below come from four different traditions. The first one is a painting by Eugene Delacroix entitled The Entry of the Crusaders into Constantinople. It was painted in 1840.

The second picture shows the capture of Antioch by cruasders in 1098. It is an illustration in the Miroir Historial by Vincent de Beauvais from the 15th century.

The third picture is a painting of marching crusaders.

The fourth picture is an illustration from a 12th century codex. It depicts Richard I "Lionheart", one of the most famous leaders of the crusaders.
