Pictures of knights - Drawings and paintings of knights

Knights go back to the age of chivaly, when noble men faught together for a noble cause. Although it is quite likely that in reality the life of a knight was a lot less romantic than it seems today, for a modern man they remain a symbol of courage, duty and integrity. And, of course, adventure. Below are some pictures of knights. The first picture is a detail from Albrecht Dürer's etching from 1513 called Knight, Death and the Devil.

The second is a photo of a tapestry showing King Arthur leading a procession of knights.

The third picture is a scene from the motion picture Black Knights where the knights are crossing a river on a horseback.

The forth picture is part of a painting by the Russian painter Vsevolod Ulianoff from 1924, called the Last of Knights.

The fifth picture is a miniature from a French Bible, showing King David with an armored knight.

The sixth picture is the cover of the Warrior Knights medieval warfare board game.
