Pictures of the marriage - Drawings and paintings of the marriage

The pictures of the marriage below come from four different traditions. The first picture is a painting by Abraham Bloemaert. It is The Marriage of Cupid and Psyche from around 1595.

The second picture is entitled The Mystic Marriage of St Catherine. It was painted by Mateo Cerezo the Younger in 1660.

The third picture is The Marriage of Poseidon and Amphitrite by Felice Giani from 1805.

The fourth picture is The Marriage of Tristram and Isolde. It was painted by Edward Burne-Jones in 1862.
