The pictures of the mummy below come from four different traditions. The first picture shows a 250-year-old mummy from an Indonesian village.

The second picture is a mummy from the Egyptian 5th dynasty, discovered in 1891 by W. M. Flinders Petrie. Despite the effort of its embalmers, the mummy completely decomposed in the past centuries, and only the skeleton remained.

The third picture shows remains of a mummy in a case.

The fourth picture is a movie poster for one of the many films inspired by and related to the mummy.
