Pirates are the robbers of the sea, they hijack ships and take the treasure. At least this is the romantic view of them in popular literature. In reality, however, was much more cruel and uninspiring. These were cold-blooded killers who massacred people for the sake of taking their possissions. The pictures of pirates below are representative images of how we envision the concept of a pirate.
