Russian was the official language of the former Soviet Union and is the third most widely spoken language
on earth, coming after Chinese and Spanish. It has been spoken among the northern Slavonic tribes in the
first millennium. Its written form developed as a standardized system during the reforms of Peter the
Great in early 18th century.
With this product, you will not just learn to speak Russian, but you will also
learn the necessary skills to be on your way to fluency. The package consists of two
multimedia software titles: Beginners and Everyday Russian.
The first of the two software titles was designed with the beginner language learner
in mind for the effortless absorption of fundamentals, focusing on sounds, tones, phonics, alphabets and
basic vocabulary used in everyday conversation. It builds your
knowledge of the fundamentals through lessons that gradually increase in difficulty. Before you
know it, you will be able to speak Russian.
The Everyday title, the second part of the package, is intended to provide you with
maximum exposure to the language. It helps you to learn and increase your
working vocabulary by presenting it in a wide range of situations. Unlike in the
Beginners title, you are encouraged to select the lessons that best suit your needs.
With this software package, learning to speak and read Russian is as simple as pointing, clicking, and listening.
