Tagalog is one of the main languages spoken on the Philippine Islands and
is the main ingredient of Filipino (Pilipino) which, beside English,
is the national language of the country. It is the member of the
Austronesian language family but due to the 300 years of Spanish rule,
it had been strongly influenced by Spanish. It is the second most
commonly spoken Asian language in the United States.
With this product, you will not just learn to speak Tagalog, but you will also
learn the necessary skills to be on your way to fluency. The system is made
up of two programs on two software titles: Beginners and
Everyday Tagalog.
The first software title was designed to aid the beginners in learning the
language fundamentals, focusing on sounds, tones, phonics, the alphabet and
basic vocabulary used in everyday conversations. It builds your
knowledge of the fundamentals through lessons that gradually increase in difficulty. Before you
know it, you will be able to speak Tagalog.
The Everyday title, the second part of the series, is intended to provide you with
maximum exposure to the language. It helps you learn and increase your
working vocabulary by presenting it in a wide range of situations. Unlike in the Beginners
title, you are encouraged to select the lessons that best suit your needs. Learning to speak and read
with this software package is as simple as pointing, clicking, and listening.
