Language Learning Series: Vietnamese

Vietnamese is the official language of Vietnam with nearly 80 million speakers. It is a mixture of Khmer, Tai and Chinese elements. The writing system was initially adopted from the Chinese and later replaced by a national script based on the French alphabet and phonetic system. With this product, you will not just learn to speak Vietnamese, but you will also learn the necessary skills to be on your way to fluency. The package consists of two software titles: Vietnamese for Beginners and Everyday Vietnamese. The first software title was designed with the beginner in mind for the effortless absorption of language fundamentals, focusing on sounds, tones, phonics, alphabets and the basic vocabulary used in everyday conversations. It builds your knowledge of the fundamentals through lessons that gradually increase in difficulty. Before you know it, you are already able to speak. Everyday Vietnamese, the second part of the package, is intended to provide you with maximum exposure to the language. It increases your working vocabulary by presenting useful words and phrases in a wide range of situations. Unlike in the Beginners software title, you are encouraged to select the lessons that best suit your needs. You can learn to speak and write by just pointing, clicking, and listening.
